A friend of mine recommended this a few weeks ago. Never heard of the project before, but ever since I got on this site I have to listen to the tracks at least a couple of times a week. It’s a project from the Black Keys, who turned their songs into hiphop tunes and asked people like Q Tip, Mos Def, Billy Danze and RZA to mc over them. It turned into the most anticipated album of the year for me (besides the new Craft album, but that’s a different story), check the openings video and others from BLAKROC… oh, and yes, that is RZA on bass.

pfff, what can i say about this one? sometimes i think that we should order everything from crailtap double, because i’d like this one to be part of my wardrobe, since we only have a couple of sizes it can be in yours…

After releasing the ‘Gucci’ dunk last week, Nike SB comes with another very interesting release. This time it’s a collaboaration with SkateMental, together they came up with this parka. Beautiful materials in a stylish colourway, khaki with a baby blue lining. The inside jacket is removable, so you can still wear it once the sun comes out again. Until that time you’ll be warm and protected from rain, snow, etc.

Here’s a super sneak peek at the new Axion Liberty, a high top due to release for Fall 2010. In addition to the purple/black, the Liberty will come in a throwback black/teal/red colorway super reminiscent of those mid-nineties good ol days. Man, how i used to love this brand back in the day, Kareem Campbell, Guy Mariano, etc.
One of my favourite artists, Eric Haze, has a new solo exhibition in NYC. The artist presents both paintings and sculptures in the exhibition, building on the iconic style that we know from Haze. The hybrid of fine art and design is very much apparent in a lot of works, working mostly with arrows, symbols and lines.
